Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the Blood Pressure Log & Report app for iPhone. By downloading or using the app, you agree to them.

Blood Pressure Log & Report is made and operated by Kristina Nelson, an individual developer. Throughout these Terms, “we” means Kristina Nelson and “the app” means Blood Pressure Log & Report.

1

What the app is for

Blood Pressure Log & Report is a personal record-keeping tool. It helps you write down, organise and review measurements you have taken yourself, and print or share a report of them.

The app records:

  • Blood pressure
  • Pulse
  • Weight
  • Blood oxygen (SpO₂)
  • A note against any reading

It can also produce a PDF report and a spreadsheet of what you have recorded, for your own records or to give to a doctor.

2

The app does not give medical advice

Blood Pressure Log & Report is for information and record-keeping only. It does not give medical advice, make a diagnosis, recommend treatment, or provide emergency services.

It is not a medical device. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition.

Nothing the app records, calculates, organises or prints is a substitute for advice from a doctor or another qualified healthcare professional. Always speak to one about your health and before making any medical decision.

Do not start, stop or change any medication, treatment or care based on what you see in this app.

3

Medical emergencies

The app is not designed to notice, identify or respond to a medical emergency. Do not use it to decide whether you need urgent care.

If you feel unwell

If you feel unwell, or think you are having a medical emergency, call 911 or seek emergency care right away.

4

Who may use the app

You must be at least 18 years old to agree to these Terms and to use Blood Pressure Log & Report. If you are setting the app up for a parent or another adult, you are responsible for making sure they understand what it does and does not do.

You may not use the app on behalf of anyone who has not agreed to these Terms.

5

What you enter, and taking your own measurements

You are responsible for what you enter. The app keeps the numbers you type; it does not measure anything itself and does not check whether a reading is plausible or correct.

Mistyped entries, a faulty monitor, a cuff worn wrongly or any other error will produce a record and a report that are wrong in the same way. Check anything important before you rely on it or hand it to a healthcare professional.

Use your monitor, scale or oximeter according to its manufacturer’s instructions, and ask a qualified healthcare professional about anything you are unsure of.

6

Reports you create and share

The app can produce a PDF report and a spreadsheet from what you have recorded. You decide whether to share them, how, and with whom.

A report is a tidy copy of what you entered. It is not an official medical record and it does not replace the records your doctor or clinic keeps. Every page says so.

Once you have shared a report, what happens to it is outside our control.

7

Pro — subscription and billing

Recording readings and printing a report are free, and stay free. Pro is an optional yearly subscription. It adds four things:

  • Reports for months or years. The free report covers up to ten days; Pro covers any stretch of time you choose, up to your whole record.
  • Longer insights on screen. The Trend and Breakdown views reach back a month, three months or all time, and the Averages view adds thirty-day and all-time averages; the free views cover the last week or two weeks.
  • Three daily reminders instead of one, at times you choose.
  • A spreadsheet of your readings. Save what you have recorded as a .csv file, from Settings › Save a copy.

Everything you have recorded stays in the app and on view in History, on either tier.

Auto-renewing subscription

Pro is an annual subscription at the price shown in the app, in your own currency. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase.

It renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple charges the renewal within the 24 hours before each period ends.

You can manage or cancel it at any time in Settings on your iPhone, under your Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not end the period you have already paid for.

Purchases and refunds are handled by Apple, not by us, under the App Store terms in force at the time.

If a subscription lapses, everything you have recorded stays exactly where it is. Only the Pro features stop.

8

Your data, iCloud, and backups

What you record is stored on your iPhone and in your own private iCloud account, so it survives a lost or replaced phone. There is no account to create, no sign-up and no advertising, and your readings are not sent to us.

Because the store is your own iCloud, deleting the app does not delete your readings. To erase everything, use Settings → Delete everything inside the app.

With a Pro subscription, the app can also save a copy of your readings as a spreadsheet at any time. We recommend keeping your own copy of anything you would not want to lose.

How information is handled is described in full in the Blood Pressure Log & Report Privacy Policy.

9

Availability, and no guarantee of accuracy

We work to keep Blood Pressure Log & Report reliable, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we do not guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or free from data loss.

Features may be added, changed or removed over time.

10

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Kristina Nelson is not liable for any damage, injury, loss, medical or treatment decision, data loss or other consequence arising from or relating to your use of the app, the information you entered into it, the reports it produced, the equipment you measured with, or any period during which the app was unavailable.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where the law does not permit it — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

11

Acceptable use

Please do not misuse the app: do not interfere with how it works or with its security, do not reverse engineer it except where the law expressly allows, and do not use it for any unlawful purpose.

12

Intellectual property

Blood Pressure Log & Report — its design, software, artwork, text and other original content — belongs to Kristina Nelson or is used under licence, and is protected by intellectual property law.

These Terms give you permission to use the app for your own personal purposes. They do not give you ownership of it or of anything in it. What you record is yours.

13

Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated when there is a reason to. The effective date at the top shows when they were last changed. If you keep using the app after an update, you accept the revised Terms so far as the law allows.

14

If you downloaded the app from Apple’s App Store

These Terms are between you and Kristina Nelson. Apple is not a party to them, and Kristina Nelson alone is responsible for Blood Pressure Log & Report and its content.

  • Your licence to use the app is non-transferable, and limited to Apple-branded devices you own or control, under the Usage Rules in the App Store Terms of Service.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
  • If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may tell Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price. To the maximum extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation of any kind.
  • Kristina Nelson, not Apple, is responsible for any claim about the app — including product liability, any failure to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and consumer protection claims.
  • Kristina Nelson, not Apple, is responsible for investigating and resolving any claim that the app infringes someone’s intellectual property.
  • You confirm you are not in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo, and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

Your use of the app must also follow the App Store’s own terms.

15

Governing law, and the rest of the small print

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here takes away a consumer protection you have where you live.

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Together with the Privacy Policy, these Terms are the whole agreement between you and Kristina Nelson about the app.
